The upcoming ZYNG Ultimate Dance Competition is not
just any competition. For the first time ever, ZYNG is reaching out to
the Parsi/Irani youth across India, in order to find the best dancers in
the community. The ZYNG Ultimate Dance Competition is an attempt to
reach out to the many Parsi/Irani youngsters residing in different
cities in India, and unite them under the mighty ZYNG banner.
With the auditions well under way, the youth have been practicing,
choreographing and dancing to a different beat. The final show, on
October 9, 2010, promises to be a grand affair, complete with Bollywood
personalities and your favourite dancing stars! The attractive prizes,
sponsored by the Kathawalla family, include, 1st and 2nd place prizes in
each of the Solo, Duet and Group categories, making a total of six
Grand Prizes, as well as a prize for the Best Choreography and a prize
for the ‘Ultimate Dancer’.
The ZYNG team has been tirelessly travelling to cities across India to
hold auditions for talented dancers, who will participate in the final
show. With the Mumbai auditions a little over a month away, we hope the
Mumbai youth are ready for this out of town competition. Until then,
here’s a sneak peak of the auditions, and the winners, from Navsari,
Surat and Ahmedabad. Congratulations to these talented youth!
Ahmedabad City Winners
In the Ahmedabad Auditions, Dilbar Contractor received the Best Solo Prize; Shahezad Contractor and Hoshedar Contractor received the Best Duet Prize and Rukshad Contractor and Dilbar Contractor received the WAPIZ prize for an amazing performance titled “Anti-Drugs”.
